The large kitchen provides function as well as beauty. On one wall, the upper cabinets have glass doors and backs so you can see through them to the outside.

The countertops are granite, and the center island cabinets have legs like a table.

Although the floors in the front hallway are marble, the ones here are a ceramic tile with a natural-looking finish. This way they will blend with the other tile, but will hold up to moisture and wear you get in a kitchen.

We've got a "commercial-style" cooktop and range hood system. We choose this style of hood rather some sort of downdraft vent. They're both stainless steel, and the hood has a remote fan on the roof, which really cuts down on the noise.
